Mike is a Staff Scientist within the group. He leads the bioanalysis program, conducting in vitro and in vivo drug metabolism and pharmacokinetic (DMPK) assays. The purpose of these assays is to determine the Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Excretion (ADME) profile of candidate molecules to aid in compound selection. Prior to joining the Lieber Institute, Michael worked as a DMPK Research Scientist at SK Life Sciences, Inc. in New Jersey. There he conducted ADME studies from discovery phase through clinical development including metabolite identification and biotransformation pathway elucidation. Michael received his bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY and master’s degree in Chemistry from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA.
